SLAT Area of Specialization: Instructional Dimensions of L2 Learning
Betül (Özkan) Czerkawski serves as a professor of instructional design and technology at the University of Arizona. Prior to that, she worked in Long Island University and University of West Georgia as faculty coordinator of instructional technology and assistant professor, respectively. She has presented and published over 90 papers on educational computing, instructional design, emerging technologies and foreign language instruction. She also edited a book entitled, " Free and Open Source Software in E-Learning: Issues, Successses, and Challenges".
Betül holds a MA and Ph.D. in Instructional Design and Development, BA in Italian Language and Literature and BA in Russian and Slavic Studies. She completed her post-doctoral study in Iowa State University where she also served as a project manager for a Fulbright Grant.
